Opéra national de Paris

Since its foundation in 1669, the goal of Paris’ national opera house has been to bring our operatic and dance-based heritage to a wider audience and to encourage the creation and production of contemporary works. Nearly 800,000 spectators flocked to the Opéra de Paris in 2008.
